As we reflect upon Holy Week starting and the celebration that Easter brings, we are celebrating here because of God’s mighty provision over the near completion of the stage project! Even before full completion of the building, we started off Holy Week with a mission team from Goochland, Virginia who used our stage for the very first time opening in worship and a time of teaching for our over 50 students and parents! It was a celebration! We began construction in late January, hesitant to even move forward because we did not have the funds we needed to complete the project and to think that March 29th, just 9 weeks later, we are now able to use the space! That’s how mighty our God is! What a powerful testimony to the sacredness of this work on this land! Thank you to each of you who have helped make this possible! We’re so excited for the teams that are coming soon who will get to make use of this space as well for many more experiences to come!

Earlier this month, three supporters from Georgia sponsored three NOW CR Staff women to attend Horizon Church’s weekend long Women’s Conference. We were so delighted to hear of the respite and inspiration that Kerly, Merary and Zenith found in attending the retreat. We cannot do this work without the support of our local counterparts. We love these three and many more of our staff so very much!
Another occasion the NOW CR team was able to gather was with a mission team member from The Porch Church in Goochland, VA who specializes in helping teams, corporations and large businesses like Google, learn how to work better as a team. Aaron Lee brought his teaching of The Five Voices to our NOW Costa Rica staff, helping each of us to learn and speak freely about the ways in which God has designed us individually to work together as a team. It was an incredible bonding experience for each of us and we’re delighted to be able better harmonize in our efforts for NOW CR students and families. Aaron used texts from Ephesians 4 and Psalms to help drive the point home that each of us has value and worth, and in understanding better our team members, we can be stronger as a team.

Our boys discipleship group just wrapped up last Sunday. It was our last class with our interns Simon and Israel as they will return back to the States this summer, but before they go, they will host a rewards campout for the boys who earned all their discipleship points. Fourteen boys will go camping April 11-12. Please be in prayer for an impactful weekend for those boys. Many of our middle schoolers will also attend Horizon Church’s Trek (Middle Schoolers) Camp that Simon and Israel will help lead April 24-26. We are prayerfully expectant of changed hearts for Christ and a new generation of leaders to be raised up. Please pray with us for those two weekend experiences!

River and Windsor are doing well. They are excited to be on spring break and eager to wrap up their last trimester of school before our trip to the States. We plan to visit Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Maryland & Delaware. It will be a full summer. River is now 11 years old. He had another successful birthday party on the beach with dozens of friends. Windsor did well in the science fair. She and her classmates presented about how bees pollinate and why they are an important species God created. She enjoyed making her costume out of black clothing and tons of gold glitter. We are still trying to get glitter out of her hair! She is loving every minute of second grade.

The Porch Mission Team has come two times now in just the last ten months. Each time they come, we call them “A Camp on Wheels”. They have run their own community sleep away camp for years and they are a well oiled machine. Some sing, others teach, while many are talented artists and have endless energy. We are thrilled for the good news they bring! This year’s theme was we are God’s Masterpiece. It has been spirit filled and wonderful. The children and parents have been blessed by The Porch and we’re excited to partner more with them in the future. The Ailors will go to Camp Crossroads at the end of June to attend The Porch’s Kids Camp in Virgina, so we are ever thankful for the ways God weaves our families together. It’s been very lovely for our children and family!

Lastly, we are still working to do the final portions needed for the stage and large classroom building project. If you or anyone you know would be willing to help us reach our goal, please let us know. Jordanna is open to do zoom calls with anyone willing to gather a crowd together in your home or church to learn more. We are so close to having all the finishings we need to use this space to its full potential.

Jordanna will be traveling to various locations to speak about her work but happens to have two dates available for any church in the Tappahannock area: Sunday July 5th and Sunday August 2nd. If you would like her to attend your church service or fellowship with your congregation in any way, please feel free to email jordannaailor@gmail.com. May God richly bless you this season and may the notion that He is Risen Indeed fill your days with hope and joy as we celebrate Easter!
God Bless You,
Jordanna, fam & team
