2025: August

Greetings from Costa Rica,

We arrived back in country a few days ago with smooth, but tiring travel.  The children did great and have started off strong in their schooling. We were welcomed with warm embraces from many friends and community members and a beautiful view of the multiuso starting to be built.

Jordanna hit the ground running to prepare for a mission team arriving Thursday from Howerton’s Baptist Church.  This is their third team they have sent and this year they will help build bunk beds for two families in the Shanti Town area, do a Children’s Day morning program, an afternoon Youth Rally and a burrito feeding ministry among many more things!  Be on the look out for photos in next month’s newsletter and please be in prayer as we pray for the Holy Spirit to move among His people.

We are so thankful for all the family and friends who gave for our summer fundraising campaign.  We met our goal and have been excited to see this Multi Purpose pavilion (or Multiuso) become a reality day by day.  It will provide our students with much needed shelter from the sun and the rain for classes, feedings and sports here on our property.  We are hopeful to build a stage on the far right side to add space for lectures and worship.  It’s an exciting time!  Praise God for his provision!  For those who weren’t able to see our summer presentation, please enjoy this video update!

Next month we celebrate our 5th year anniversary of serving here in Costa Rica.  Neighbors Outreach Worldwide wouldn’t exist without financial supporters and prayer warriors like you!  We truly appreciate those of you, who for years now, have supported us financially every month.  Our monthly support team is what sustains us in this work.  As we continue to grow our ministry, we are in need of more monthly supporters.  If you are interested in giving $25, $50, $100 or more per month you can establish your giving at www.nowcr.org.  We will pray alongside you as you ask our Lord for provision and commitment to give.
