A huge praise for Jenna VanderHaar, a fully supported missionary who landed in Jaco with time and passion for helping girls, mothers and families in NOW Costa Rica. She attended our girls retreat weekend in October and recently has begun walking with the women of Aguera with me in the mornings. We are praying for God to steer us to His great plans as we collaborate towards discipleship and wellness for the women of the community. I’m so thankful to have a partner in mission for a while. Pray for our strength and direction as we collaborate.

Three older NOW Costa Rica girls and Jordanna are hitting the road on their first mission trip to Quito Ecuador to partner with a mission group called Hacienda de Refugio. We will do some outdoor discipleship training, a day working with kids and a day teaching other adolescent Latinas about their bodies as Christ sees them. We are so excited. Please be in prayer for the Dunn Family Visit Dec 24 – Jan 1st. We ask for travel mercies, great impact and the gospel to continue to permeate here in Herradura as they join us for the holiday season. Pray for the older girls of NOW Costa Rica (Thelma, Doneira, Nayrobi, Suri & Ariana) impacted by the Dec 28th Sleepover and the boys (Marcos, Carlos, Dani & Winston) impacted by the Dec 28th camp out.
We have several other mission teams planning to come from Beale Memorial, Mt. Zion and other churches. Please be in prayer as teams make plans to travel and serve alongside us here on the ground. We are also making plans to spend all of June and part of July in Virginia. We are asking supporters to consider doing a spaghetti dinner fundraiser in your community to help support our next efforts building an educational center & family mission house. This will be a big year for us and we need your help. Will you pray about doing a fundraiser this summer for our ministry work and the Kingdom?
God has given us a vision for property in the Arenas neighborhood located in the heart of Herradura. It’s a safe community and within walking distance to those we disciple. We hope to secure two lots so our family can reside next to a NOW Costa Rica Education Center and Mission House. Please pray for the legal process, finances and support needed to launch this large-scale effort. We are so thankful to share that we got our first large donation of $20,000 towards the purchase of land. The day we got the call, we nearly fell over. God is honoring the vision and we know He will reach people for his eternity. Will you help us reach our goal to buy the land?
We know we serve a mighty God and He is doing good things in Herradura. We could not reach these teens, mothers and families without your partnership. We are constantly humbled by the number of families who are serving alongside us. Praise His Holy Name!
