2021: December

We pray this newsletter finds you well and can only imagine that you too have been busy embracing the Christmas season. With so much need in the world, it’s amazing that we have hope in Christ Jesus. I am thankful for His love for me, my family and community. I am also thankful for your investment. You are all stepping up to give above and beyond this Christmas season. We have seen moms give in honor of their daughters for Christmas, families responding to a matching gift campaign with Omega Health Services, and some rather large one-time gifts roll in. We stand in awe as we allow God to do the work. We pray for discernment and aim to be obedient at all times as we plan to build an educational center for our teens in Herradura. Thanks for coming alongside us.

We are pleased to announce that we are nearly ½ way to our goal for the purchase of land. Of the $75,000 needed we have now reached $37,000! What a miracle this has been, as those funds poured just in November and December alone! To God be the glory! We can see big things coming and it’s thanks to you!

We were blessed this season to be a part of the Bijagual School Christmas Outreach with Virginia Lindholm and friends. It was such a blessing to provide a little Christmas cheer to many of the children in this rural part of Costa Rica. What an honor and privilege it is to serve with our family alongside the Lindholms. This is the family that initially brought us here to Costa Rica and have been forever supportive of our work. Thank you, Gerald and Virginia! What a fun day we had celebrating the season with those in need.

Our three older girls, Merary, Lucia & Sofia have raised the necessary $5K needed for our trip to Ecuador. Thank you to each of you who have responded to their requests to support in prayer or donation. This will be their first ever mission trip and as 18-year-old girls, we could not be more excited to launch them into their college years with a mission trip. Each girl has graduated from high school and is enjoying a few months of “summer break”. They will start their next phase of schooling/gap year plans in February. Please be in prayer for us all as we travel Jan 10-20 to serve at El Refugio and Casa Tao in Ecuador where we will be working with teen moms.

We had a wonderful week with the Dunn family from Manassas, VA for their Family Mission Week. Our teen boys went on a camp out with John and Jesse, our local pastor and Pepper. It was a blessing for all involved. Our girls spent the day in the Ailor home learning about the power of sharing your testimony with Brooke & Greta. We had movie night, yummy food and a Christmas gift exchange. We are so thankful for the love of the Dunn family. We were able to bless 20 families with food baskets in the village of Cristo Rey. It was a powerful week and we are full of gratitude for their commitment to the mission.

May this end of year bring you great reflection of the Lord’s provision and joy. May you enter into 2022 with the confidence that only Christ can bring. May your family find peace, health, joy and blessing in this new year. Thanks for being a part of our journey so far. We hope to see you this summer when we return for another support raising trip in June. If your church or community is willing to host the Ailor family or a fundraiser, please let us know. We are a team and you are a integral part!

With love,

Jordanna, fam & team
