A REEL DIFFERENCE
FISHERMEN FEEDING THE HUNGRY
Our local town of Jaco, Costa Rica, suffered a flood during the season of COVID in Costa Rica, adding insult to injury as the area was already suffering the economic devastation from the loss of tourism. Fishermen Justin DeBoom and Captain Brandon Walton witnessed first-hand the distressed families, homes, and businesses that were suffering. The government had locked-down many of the stores where these families could purchase their basic household goods. Together, they decided to put their skills into action for good.

Justin and Brandon reached out to NOW Costa Rica, since the organization was already established and NOWCR adopted A REEL DIFFERENCE.

Since that time, A Reel Difference has held numerous food distributions, delivering fresh fish combined with other groceries to those in need. Partnering with Jaco Impact and Horizon Church, A REEL DIFFERENCE has met the needs of many during times of instability – offering hope and goodwill as well as nourishment.
